On September 17, 2019, FMEP convened an event – cosponsored by the Middle East Institute and the New Israel Fund, entitled “Israeli Elections & Minority Communities:  What the Bedouin Experience Portends for the Future of Israeli Democracy.”

The event featured Tal Avrech, head of international relations and head researcher of the Negev Coexistence Forum for Civil Equality; Ayesha Ziadna, the Director of Sabeel Leadership Institute of the Arab-Jewish Center for Empowerment, Equality, and Cooperation Negev Institute for Strategies of Peace and Economic Development (AJEEC NISPED); and Harry Reis, the Director for Policy and Strategy at the New Israel Fund. FMEP’s Lara Friedman moderated the event.
