On June 23, 2020, Jewish Currents magazine convened a webinar entitled, “A Conversation on Biden’s Foreign Policy and Israel/Palestine.”

The webinar, which was co-sponsored by FMEP, was moderated by Peter Beinart and  featured expert views from Aida Touma-Sliman, a member of the Israeli Knesset and part of the Joint List; Matt Duss, foreign policy advisor to Sen. Bernie Sanders; and Lara Friedman, president of the Foundation for Middle East Peace and a Jewish Currents contributing writer (bios below).

Panelist Biographies

Peter Beinart (@PeterBeinart) is professor of journalism and political science at the City University of New York, Editor-at-Large of Jewish Currents, an Atlantic and CNN contributor and a non-resident fellow at the Foundation for Middle East Peace.

Lara Friedman (@LaraFriedmanDC) is the President of the Foundation for Middle East Peace. With more than 25 years working in the Middle East foreign policy arena, Lara is a leading authority on US foreign policy in the Middle East.

Matt Duss (@mattduss) is Foreign Policy Advisor to Sen. Bernie Sanders and former President of the Foundation for Middle East Peace.

Aida Touma-Sliman (@AidaTuma) is an MK representing Hadash in the Joint List. She is the former chair of the Knesset committee for the status of women and gender equality.
