The U.S., Israel and Palestine at a Crossroads
Join FMEP’s Matt Duss in Seattle as he discusses Israel’s democratic recession and its impact on peacemaking.

Two setbacks for Israeli democracy passed into law this July – a bill stigmatizing government critics and another permitting dissenting lawmakers to be expelled from the Knesset. Against a backdrop of incitement against Arab citizens and liberals, and the fast-approaching 50th year of occupation, Israel’s allies around the world have expressed concern.
How will Israel’s recent policies affect its democracy and peacemaking? What will the US Elections mean for Israel going forward? And what can American Jewry do to make a difference? The New Israel Fund and J Street are excited to host Matt Duss, President of the Foundation for Middle East Peace, for an analysis of current events followed by Q&A.
Light refreshments will be served.
Sponsored by J Street and the New Israel Fund.
