Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s genocidal attacks on Gaza have killed more than 47,000 Palestinians and destroyed or damaged an estimated 92% of residential units. According to Gaza’s civil defence, more than 10,000 bodies remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings. The real death toll is likely much higher with a conservative estimate that at least 3% of the population in Gaza has been killed by Israeli colonial forces, even before counting the thousands of deaths caused by poor sanitary conditions, the collapse of the health system and malnutrition.
