Masafer Yatta Media Fellowship

The Masafer Yatta Media Fellowship is a new project of +972 Magazine that seeks to promote new and creative ways to bring attention to the communities, history, resistance, and suffering of Palestinians living in the Masafer Yatta region of the South Hebron Hills. This fellowship brings together a small cohort of grassroots activists living and working in Masafer Yatta to document and publish community stories. The fellows engage in documentation, journalism, social media campaigns, and ultimately aspire to create a book that explains the region through the lens of the people’s stories, showing their history, culture, and life. This project highlights the resilience and resistance of communities in the South Hebron Hills living under direct military occupation and the ongoing threat of expulsion and dispossession.
