FMEP Non-Resident Fellow Peter Beinart talks with Salem Barahmeh – one of the creators behind a new virtual reality app taking people inside key places in Palestine – about the power of seeing and hearing stories of the Palestinian experience. The two also investigate the trends in political thought of Palestinian youth.

Salem Barahmehis the Executive Director of the Palestine Institute for Public Diplomacy and a creator behind the new Palestine VR app (which you can download from any app store), which allows people around the world see inside of the occupied territories. Salem is also policy member of Al-Shabaka: The Palestinian Policy Network and a Non-Resident Fellow at the US Middle East Project. He previously worked as an international affairs advisor to Dr. Hanan Ashrawi at the PLO and the Palestine Investment Fund. He has also worked at Portland Communications in London, as a Policy and Public Affairs Advisor to different governments, and for the Palestinian Embassy to the United States.

Peter Beinart is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Foundation for Middle East Peace. He is also a Professor of Journalism and Political Science at the City University of New York, a Contributor to The Atlantic, a Senior Columnist at The Forward, and a CNN Political Commentator.
