Aida Touma Sliman Aida is a prominent feminist activist in Israel, a member of the Hadash Party  and the highest ranking woman on the Joint List, the founder of the Women Against Violence Association in 1992 and the first female member of the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens of Israel. She is the founder of the first shelters in Israel for Arab women in distress and a centre to assist victims of physical and sexual violence and has trained and instructed women in the Arab world as well as serving as the editor of Al-Ittihad newspaper.

Peter Beinart is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Foundation for Middle East Peace. He is also a Professor of Journalism and Political Science at the City University of New York, a Contributor to The Atlantic, a Senior Columnist at The Forward, and a CNN Political Commentator.
